Alexandre Hamaide, WG'11 Co-Founder and Managing Partner EMCap Partners

Alexandre Hamaide is one of the founding partners of EMCap, a private equity company investing in European discretionary consumer goods companies in order to provide them with growth capital to fund their expansion into emerging markets (BRIC, South East Asia, MENA).
Prior to EMCap, Alexandre worked at Tiedemann Investment Group, a New York-based hedge fund, where he was following Chinese companies listed in the U.S. He started his career in Beijing as a Project Manager for AEC China, a French-Chinese management consulting firm and then joined FH Coatings, a French construction materials company, as General manager for China. Overall, he spent more than four years in China where he was mainly involved with strategy, operations and business development and gained significant exposure to Asian markets.
Alexandre currently sits on the board of FH Coatings and is the General Secretary of the Wharton Club of Paris.
Alexandre graduated with a MBA from the Wharton School and with a master’s degree from Sciences Po Paris. He also studied tax and corporate law in Paris II Assas.
