Alexandre Ricard is a graduate of Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris, of the Wharton School of Business (MBA with majors in Finance and Entrepreneurship), and of the University of Pennsylvania (MA in International Studies). He joined Pernod Ricard in 2003, in the Audit and Development department of the holding company in Paris.
He was appointed CFO of Irish Distillers Group, based in Dublin, at the end of 2004, before moving to Hong Kong in September 2006 as CEO of Pernod Ricard Asia Duty Free. In July 2008, he returned to Dublin as CEO of Irish Distillers Group, at which time he also became a member of Pernod Ricard’s Executive Committee.
On September 1, 2011, Alexandre joined the Group’s Executive Board as Managing Director, Distribution Network, based in Paris. He was appointed Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer in August 2012 and is also a member of the Board of Directors of Pernod Ricard.
Before joining Pernod Ricard, Alexandre worked outside the Group for seven years, for Accenture (strategy consulting) and Morgan Stanley (mergers and acquisitions consulting).
Alexandre Ricard is the grandson of the company’s founder, Paul Ricard.
